Founded in 1970, UVMRFC has committed to developing into one of the Northeasts most respected programs, promoting the highest level of rugby and sportsmanship.

Our team is made up from students in every college at the University of Vermont who value sportsmanship, hard-work and have a love for the game. The club fields two teams.
Our A-side competes in the NACRC DII Conference (formerly known as NEWCRC) against UNH, Norwich, UMaine, UMASS Lowell, Boston University, and Coast Guard.
Our development side competes against other teams development sides providing new players the opportunity to build their skills and understanding of the game. We also compete in various scrimmages against local teams like St. Michaels and Middlebury.

Both sides practice together three times a week along with multiple gym sessions during the Fall. Our coaching staff have almost 75 years of experience between them and provide an unparalleled opportunity for players to hone their skills and become better players and people. During the Spring Semester, the team transitions into tournament rugby competing in 7's and 15's tournaments around New England.

At the core of our club is providing members with the opportunity to be part of a group dedicated to establishing a fun and inclusive environment for students of various skill levels to grow as players, students, and people.

We are always looking for new members. Any interested students are welcome to come to a practice or get in touch with one of our club officers to learn more about the program. No prior experience is needed.
